“Excellent apartment in wonderful Stockbridge area.”
Reviewed 7 February 2014 for a stay in February 2014

I've just returned from spending a week at this one-bedroom apartment, and I can honestly say there isn't a single thing I could criticise; everything was great!
The apartment is a basement flat/apartment in a lovely Georgian building right in the centre of the popular Stockbridge area. The interior and furnishings are modern, well maintained, and provide everything you could need. Wi-Fi internet access and Sky TV allow you to enjoy a bit of entertainment at home should the weather keep you in, but location-wise you are within easy walking distance of Princes Street, the castle, and the main shopping area.
There is a Sainsburys local and Scottish Co-op within a minutes walk of the apartment for any groceries you may need, and you are right on the doorstep of a number of coffee shops, bars and restaurants in Stockbridge.
A bus stop immediately outside the apartment provides transport to Princes Street and Waverley Train station (No. 36 bus), and connections from here allow you to travel to attractions all over the city. £1.50 for a single ticket to anywhere in the city or £3.50 for a day pass is also fantastic value, although you may find as I did that the 10-15 minute walk up to Princess Street is actually a nice little jaunt.
The apartment owner met me on arrival and explained all the facilities, and was also nice enough to advise me where the nearest supermarket, bars and restaurants were. The booking process was straightforward and the owner responded promptly to any questions I had.
All in all, the apartment was great. Clean, comfortable, in a fantastic location, and within easy access to some of the best parts of Edinburgh. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone visiting Edinburgh, and will definitely try to stay here again when I return to the city.

“An excellent place to stay!”
Reviewed 11 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

Just returned from a month in the St Bernard's Cres flat and totally loved it. Really comfortable with all mod cons, including great wifi, Sky TV etc, located in our favourite part of Edinburgh, great for transport (there's a bus stop right outside) and pleasant and helpful owners. And as an added bonus, it's a 2 minute walk from the mighty Stockbridge Tap! We'll be back.

“Lovely modern apartment”
Reviewed 24 November 2013 for a stay in May 2013

We organised our stay in this lovely apartment on-line, from Australia. All went without a hitch, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this well-decorated, modern apartment, which contained everything we needed for our stay in Edinburgh. Travelling around Edinburgh by bus, taxi and on foot, was really easy from this location. The owner, David, was extremely helpful and flexible, both in the planning stages, and when we arrived. We would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment.

“Stockbridge Style”
Reviewed 17 November 2013 for a stay in November 2013

Why stay in a hotel?
I've stayed in a number of apartments in Edinburgh. This, by far, is the most stylish.
Home from home with every amenity you could wish for within and without.
Chic, incredibly clean design, quiet location, incredibly comfortable bed, plentiful hot water in a wonderful bathroom (with bath), Sky Plus television and superbly comfortable decor.
Minutes from the centre of Bohemian Stockbridge with it's fabulous shopping opportunities and a short trip into the centre of Edinburgh, whether by foot, bus or cab. (A car just isn't necessary in Edinburgh unless you wish to drive much further afield.)
Great restaurants within a few metres. ....take your pick ...., and supermarkets should you wish to eat at home. Who would wish to stay any where else?
Owner will meet and greet and answer any questions you may have and give good advice as to your location.
Highly recommended.

“Lovely apartment in a lovely neighbourhood”
Reviewed 2 November 2013 for a stay in August 2013

A friend and I stayed here during the Edinburgh Festival, and found it a real home from home.

Smartly decorated and comfortable, on a beautiful crescent in a really nice part of town. It was probably the best part of half an hour's walk to get right into the city centre, but there are buses and it was nice to be away from the crowds during the festival.

There are some nice cafes and shops nearby, and a Sainsburys so you can stock up on essentials if you feel like staying in.

The apartment owner, David, was very welcoming (and very tolerant of our late arrival time into the city, having got the train up from London).

Would definitely recommend.
