“WOW!! What a unique place!!”

Castle Snug was amazing!! Photos are very representative of the property. In spite of the age of the building, the apartment had modern amenities, such as washer, dishwasher, TV. Location is unbeatable, and instructions for access were very convenient. I stayed with my 2 teenage daughters, and they loved the loft bed. This was such a unique apartment- I'm sure we will remember our stay in the Castle Snug whenever we think of Edinburgh!! Thanks!!!

“Perfect!!”
Reviewed 1 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We booked two nights at the Castle Snug to round off a road trip right round Scotland and we couldn't have picked a more wonderful place to wind down. The Castle Snug was even better than we were expecting. It could not be more central (down a little close off the Royal Mile) and it literally 4 mins walk from the Castle but is a haven of peace and quiet - even with the pub next door/right outside we found that it did not suffer with too much noise - we stayed on a Friday and a Saturday and although there was the usual sound of merriment it did not disturb us particularly. On entering there was a resounding WOW from myself and my husband and our nine year old daughter who immediately claimed the loft bed (the most comfy bed in the world!) and it served as her very own little hidey hole - my husband and I slept in the awesome 'hidden bed'. This apartment is beautifully decorated with original architectural features, huge walls and all home comforts. My daughter said she'd happily stay there forever (as did my husband!) and i completely agreed! If you are into your history or of the gothic persuasion (as we are) you will adore this exquisite bolt-hole in the centre of the beautiful city of Edinburgh! We can't wait to return!

“Quirky and fun”
Reviewed 29 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Our family stayed here on Sunday night. Easy to find and even better then we imagined. Our 12 yr old grabbed the loft bed and enjoyed his wee private haven. The hidden bed was comfy. Perfect for a night. Would loved to stay longer. Maybe on our next trip to bonnie Scotland. Location perfect. Lots of gd cafes. Close the the sights. Thanks for a great place to stay.

“Amazing Snug full of character!”
Reviewed 23 April 2014 for a stay in January 2014

Never stayed anywhere quite like the snug, it's brilliant! loved the bed hidden away at the top of the stairs, really cosy-perfect for couples and very close to Edinburgh castle. We stayed in January and didn't want to leave, can't wait to go back!
