Had an excellent meal here yesterday! Was very quiet in the place and we were seen to very quickly. Nice comfortable bar area to eat with an impressive beer garden outside. I had the burger with cheese and bacon which was delicious. Tasted extremely fresh and the chips it came with where lovely. All well cooked, very fast service and a very reasonably priced.

Its very interesting watching the owner and his chocolate lab in this pub. Im not sure if this is meant to be a pub/eatery or a cat and dog home.
There is little surprise that this place is dead.
Last night I witnessed said dog and a staffy have a massive fight in the middle of our nice chat/meal. The massive increase in volume made me physically jump. Raised human voices (owner and his group) just to add to the dog mayhem.
What also adds a certain 'something' to this place is the dripping ceiling water from the property above as I ordered from the bar.. it him me on the head. The owner looked up from his bottle of Red, acknowledged the fact... then went back to his Red.
Perhaps the broken glass pane on their log burner should be fixed, rather than having a piece of cardboard stuffed in it.

People : seriously... avoid this hole. Its obvious the owner is holding out for a property deal to sell and demolish.

Really good pub grub. Steak and Ale pie is excellent. Nice cosy and friendly atmosphere. A great place to visit with family and even better that you can bring your dog too. It will be a firm favourite of mine from now on.

A beautiful, dog friendly pub that serves excellent meals in a generous helping at great prices that put a most high end restaurants to shame.

Staff are cheery and helpful with a "can do attitude" and tailor service to the person!

The woods behind the pub make for a great walk with your dog or even just to walk off a full belly!

This local eatery is a chilled place to enjoy a bite with friends. Staff work hard to please. There is a slight lack of polish - but more than made up for in effort. Never any rush to get you out - which is a delight. Prawns are to die for - burgers very good, wine choice good too. Long may it prosper,
