“Highly recommended break from the city - stunning views”
Reviewed 21 June 2012

If you spend some time in Edinburgh, this is a must do break from the city. From the outskirts of Edinburgh, this won't take you too long. It is rather steep, so while people in good shape reach the top in 15-20 minutes, others will prefer a slower pace. There are several paths to the top. All got some steep sections, but this is a walk for mostly everyone. On to the top you will have to walk sections with rugged stones that will be slippery in wet weather. Just beware, and good shoes is a plus.

It is unquestionably worth the effort. You are treated with great views of Edinburgh and surrounding area. Highly recommended!

“Fantastic panoramic views of Edinburgh”
Reviewed 20 June 2012

We stayed with friends who showed us around and took us to Arthur's Seat so we didn't need a map or any guides to get there. We walked up the hill to a wonderful outlook over Edinburgh. It was a little cool with how windy it was welcome after the walk up. The view is amazing, so take your camera! We'd definitely climb it again if we went back, and even better that it's free!

“Impressive views”
Reviewed 20 June 2012

It's the perfect location for a sunrise or sunset in Edinburgh. A fairly easy climb that provides excellent panoramic views. The location (very near the city center) makes it a must-see in Edinburgh. Just do it!

“Stunning views!”
Reviewed 19 June 2012

This is a mild hike to a view point allowing you to see the city and ocean. You won't regret the hour you spend there. If it is raining to be careful. It can get slippery on the way down.
