Stayed here when we went to a concert at murrayfield stadium, was very pleased with the room and en suite. Liked the little touches of the bedside clock and mat for straighteners. It's easy to find and although on the main road the traffic noise isn't really heard in the room we stated in. Would definitely recommend.

Good and friendly hotel
Well positioned for bus into the City with bus stop right outside the hotel
Some might say the downside was the position on the main road which is very busy. However there is very little traffic after rush hour and in spite of our room being on the front we did not hear anything at night and were not disturbed.

Very helpful and friendly service. Travel cot fit in the room nicely. Nice hot shower. Great suggestion to have tea at Toni Macaroni's restaurant, which was just five minutes walk from the guest house.

a little bit noisy: busy road; too early for a hot breakfast, so cold breakfast in the fridge..;friendly manager who lent us an umbrella to go wandering in the wet streest of Edinburgh.. not fat from the aiport and a parking place..;

I stayed with my husband and two teenage daughters on the recommendation of my sister-in-law who'd stayed for Hogmanay. I was told that they were perfect hosts and the guest house was ideally situated to catch the bus into the city centre. She wasn't wrong on either count.

We stayed for 3 nights and I wish it could've been longer. We stayed in the family room and we all had separate beds which was a nice change for the kids from put-me-ups. Little fridge had a jug of "proper" milk which also made a lovely change. Shower room, no bath but shower was Huge. Was given handy tips like what buses to catch and where etc, which were very frequent and practically outside the door. There was also a good guide on local shops and takeaways (along with the offer of plates and cutlery should guests not wish to eat out.

Good size parking area (car was regularly dumped at the end of the day for a bus trip into the city for the late afternoon/evening). Breakfast was plentiful and served with a smile by Terry. When I mentioned going early to Edinburgh Zoo, we were immediately offered breakfast at an earlier time than normal.

It has been mentioned that it can be tricky to pull in to the entrance because it's situated on a busy main road. We had no problem with this, if we were approaching from the left, on the other side of the road (dual carriageway without barriers), we simply drove on for about 30 seconds to an ideal turning spot. We were also in a front bedroom overlooking the road and had no problem with road noise during the night.

It's perfectly situated to explore the city centre or the surrounding areas, being on a main route bypassing the city centre. 5 minutes drive around the block from Edinburgh Zoo.

If I was going back to Edinburgh (which I hope to because it's a stunning city) I would definitely stay again. You couldn't get more welcoming hosts. We arrived about an hour early for check-in but our room was waiting for us.
