Recently stayed for 2 nights as our son was getting married in Edinburgh. From arrival to departure the staff could not have been more helpful. The room was lovely and very comfortable, the free mini bar was a bonus. The bathroom and toiletries were off a high standard with lovely bath robes and slippers. Yes the drinks in the bar were expensive but not any more so than in any hotel of it class. Would not hesitate to stay there again should we need to overnight in Edinburgh.

Of course, buyers of Missoni gear will like this, but anyone else will find it overwhelming. The walls, elevator sides, the tableware, all fight to dominate a sometimes restricted space in a blaze of clashing colors. You will probably come away determined never to step inside a Missoni store again.
Which is a pity, because the rooms are spacious and agreable and the position is excellent. Breakfast is a let-down however - very limited and of so so quality. I would go elsewhere in the morning.

I stayed here for one night, on a spur of the moment. I'm a regular visitor to Edinburgh, and as far as service, and comfort goes, this is probably the best hotel I've stayed at in the city.
Friendly, helpful staff. Nice clean rooms, good food, great cocktails. An overall very pleasant experience. Will definitely be back.

We ate in Cucina for my sister's birthday - what an experience. The food was delicious, the atmosphere great and the service outstanding. Davide served us and was just great the whole night and made sure we were well looked after. The sommelier (sorry, I did not get her name) recommend a great wine to compliment the fantastic food! The 'Happy Birthday' message with the biscuits brought a big grin to my sisters face!

All in all, a fantatsic experience from the moment we walked through the door.

The staff was nice, yes, but this does not justify the price. The location is great but Edinburgh is not that big, so don't be fooled into thinking that you need to be right off of the Royal Mile (which is mainly tourist shoppes), because there are great restaurants and things to see all over the city. This hotel looks cool inside with bright colors and patterns; which is why I booked it. After having stayed at many, many hotels all across the US, Europe and Asia, I can say that the price to value ratio simply isn't worth it. It is more expensive than a comparable room in NYC and they charged us 70 £ for less than 48 hours of parking! And beyond the paint and decorations, there was nothing really memorable. In fact, given its location, the building exterior is actually an eyesore as it does not at all fit in with the surrounding architecture and setting. There was also a lot of noise at night with of foot traffic in the hallways. The candy bar in the lobby at check was fun. But a few lollipops don't make spending hundreds of pounds per night worth it.
