Dumfries Villa was exactly what I needed for a quick weekend away from Edinburgh. I stayed in the single room and it was compact, but perfect for one person. The view from the window was lovely and a few errant hairs in the attached toilet were my only cause for complaint. The girls who serve the breakfast are lovely and the variety is exceptional. I would definitely stay here again if I was ever back in Dumfries.

Spent two nights here, a lovely b&b.
Off street parking, very pleasant and helpful owner, great breakfasts and a pleasant and comfortable room.
The town is great too, seek out Dumfries Museum, just over the suspension bridge, well worth a visit.

Dumfries Villa is a 10 minute walk or 5 minute drive to town centre. Standard nice sized room on ground floor adjacent to breakfast room and private residence. Lovely garden and ftee car parking. A few sleep disturbances due to no blackout blinds and could hear people coming in and out due to room being at bottom of stairs. Was concerned smoke alarm in room had been removed and young girl signed us in and provided breakfast (which had to be pre ordered and husband received crossaints warmed from a packet). The only time we saw the owner was when we were leaving for payment. It is good value standard accommodation.

We felt that Dumfries Villa offered very good value for money and a good location. The breakfast was lovely, with a good variety of choices. The owner was friendly and helpful, and the garden at the property was beautifully maintained.
