“lovely little holiday cottage”
Reviewed 10 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We enjoyed our stay at this semi detached cottage which is in the centre of the town of problems. Everything is on the doorstep from shopping, food & drink to walking, cycling and golf. The cottage is homely and well catered for. It has an outhouse for bikes which is useful storage and has a small garden at the end of the houses. The neighbouring house cigarette smoke managed to creep into the cottage bathroom which was slightly irritating for non smokers. We couldn't work out how this was getting in and had no control over it. There isn't parking outside the house however there I a free car park a few minutes walk away. The owner is responsive to any concerns raised for example we used the washing machine which made a strange noise & the owner responded to our email promptly to say she was aware of the issue. There is a log fire & the logs & kindling can be purchased from the local harbro store.
All in all a nice wee holiday home

Dear Guests, Many thanks for your review and delighted you enjoyed your stay in the town of Peebles. I did note your spelling mistake there . Yes everything is right on your doorstep plus free huge car park 200 yards away. You didn't mention the cigarette smoke until now after your holiday but as i have told you privately by email after reading this, your bathroom window was not shut and sealed. You had it ajar. It is now closed properly , double glazed and sealed new bathroom window. The washing machine is slightly noisy when it spins due to the bearings. Otherwise it works perfectly fine. The shed i emptied out solely for yourselves as you arrived with bikes which i wasn't aware of previously. It is not part of the holiday let but happy to do this on odd occasion. Thanks once more for your positive review and as youv'e said via email, you'll be back look forward to that.

“Stylishly decorated cottage with a most helpful owner.”
Reviewed 6 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

A stylishly decorated cottage just off the High Street of Peebles. This ensured easy acess to one of the most attractive High Streets in the UK while at the same time being very quiet.
All amenities were provided with the owner obviously keen to ensure a hastle free stay with handy hints on how to use appliances.Warm, comfortable and cosy. The welcoming package was most enjoyable.Would definitely stay here again.

“Super break in a beautiful part of the world”
Reviewed 3 May 2015 for a stay in April 2015

This cottage is just off the High Street in Peebles and is very quiet. It is so easy to access the many lovely shops and a wide range of coffee shops and eateries. It is very close to the bus stop for a day in Edinburgh. There are so many lovely walks in and around Peebles, you will never be stuck for things to do. The cottage is warm, cosy and very comfortable - especially the bed and it has everything you need for a very enjoyable stay in this beautiful part of the world. The wifi is excellent - very fast and efficient, so fantastic if you are combining work and holiday or study and holiday!

Delighted to see you back at Tweed cottage Peebles once more. Glad you have such an enjoyable stay and yes you'll have noticed so many new restaurants and cafes opened up in the last year. I think there are 36 now in Peebles so we're not short of places to eat, all reasonably priced. Thank you.

“Lovely little cottage, a hidden gem.”
Reviewed 12 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Tweed cottage, although small, is very well equipped, with comfortable beds, nice linen; the owner has obviously taken a lot of trouble with all the equipment. The flowers and goodies were most welcome. The owners instructions on how to access the cottage was extremely useful and she is very friendly and quick to reply to emails. Peebles is a great town with plenty to do and see, and excellent eateries. The cottage is tucked away in a lane off the High Street, so very central yet without noticeable traffic noise. There is no parking at the cottage, which the owner was careful to inform me about, but there is plenty of free parking nearby....however with two smallish children plus luggage I didn't find it easy on my arrival and departure. However, had I been on my own this would have not been an issue at all. I can wholeheartedly recommend this cottage and Peebles as a holiday destination.

“Lovely cottage in a beautiful location”
Reviewed 31 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Although this was our third visit to Peebles, it was our first stay in Tweed Cottage. We were very impressed with the standard of this lovely, extremely well-equipped, cottage and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking to stay in this beautiful area.

It is very well situated for all local amenities and the owner has made every effort, successfully, to ensure the cottage is welcoming.
