“Great pet-friendly, people-friendly accommodation in a lovely setting”
Reviewed 15 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Stable cottage is delightful. Its pretty, very well furnished and appointed with everything one might need, spacious, and comfortable. There's a vast lawn for dogs to run and people to stroll. The owners are friendly and helpful. This cottage is just outside Melrose, Scottish Borders. There are some good walks nearby and excellent restaurants. Melrose Abbey, right in the town, is well worth a visit. Other Borders towns are short distances away, with lovely scenery making the trips themselves worthwhile. We loved staying, so did our dog, and we'll be back.

“LOVELY COTTAGE FOR A RELAXING HOLIDAY”
Reviewed 9 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Thank you to Claire and Donald for their welcome. The cottage is decorated and furnished to a high standard and the garden is a sheltered sun-trap.

Melrose has everything you need and is a good centre for exploring the Borders.

“Perfect one night stay away”
Reviewed 3 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Book this at the last minute for a one night stay, down from Edinburgh and couldn't have been more perfect. Donald met us on arrival and was the perfect host, a brief tour around the property and left us to our own devices. Cottage was spacious, spotless, warm and comfortable. Lovely big lawn out the front of the cottage, ideal for giving the dog a leg stretch.

Cottage is a 5 minute drive away from Melrose where we took off for a lovely walk alongside the Tweed and up around the surrounding hills.

Could easily have stayed for longer and would definitely recommend for getaway.

“Excellent Cosy Cottage managed by lovely personable couple”
Reviewed 3 November 2016 for a stay in September 2016

The cottage was eactly as described. One arrival the cottage was lovely and warm giving a snug feeling for that first brew after 300 miles on the road. Comfortable bed ensured a great nights sleep. The cottage was fully equipped with everything one would require for a self catering break. Close enough to amenities in Melrose and otehr borders towns. Super pet friendly gardens.
