“The most amazing holiday ever”
Reviewed 13 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

There is so much to say about this, I don't know if there is enough space. We arrived to a very warm welcome and everything was explained to us which was excellent. The cottage itself is immaculate and maintained to a very high standard. The surrounding area is breathtaking and the people are so friendly. It is very easy to drive about and there is so much to see and do that a week is just not long enough. I cannot praise this highly enough and wish there was more than 5 stars to award it as this has been the best holiday I have ever experienced, would definately recommend this place to anyone. Only piece of advice I would give is book it direct with the owner and not through an agent.

How easy was it to book the property? How helpful were the directions to the property?
How easy was key pickup/access to the property? Overall condition of the property
Bedding & mattresses Kitchen & utensils
Bathroom cleanliness Other facilities & amenities

Liked best: Everything
Liked least: That I had booked it through an agent and not the owner

“lovely cottage, fantastic golf course and great seaside walks nearby”
Reviewed 7 May 2013 for a stay in July 2011

Myself and 2 Friends stayed there July 2011. It,s a lovely cottage really close to the Golf course and in walking distance of the beach. The cottage itself is clean, fully equipped and a cosy place to stay. We stayed at the cottage as we were playing golf and visited the site where the old salmon station used to be. Used it again in Oct 2012.

Thank you for lovely review, much appreciated. We have now rectified the matter regarding the shared drying area, and we now have a washing line dedicated for holidaymakers at Slains Cottage.

Slaines cottage was well equipped, very clean and situated in a lovely place. The view from the kitchen is beautiful.
You can take lovely walks, lots to do and see.
It is decorated lovely... Home from home.
The only downside for me is that I couldn't take my dog.

Thank you for your lovely comments. Although most pets are clean and well behaved, we took the difficult decision not to allow pets, as we feel there can be a lingering smell from some pets, and it would be unfair to guests who were not animal lovers, or indeed guests who might have certain allergies.
