Stayed here for 3 nights.
Parking is limited in the hotel ittself, there is a pay/display car park across the road so if arriving late make sure you have coins to insert into machine to pay for parking if hotel car park is full. There is a little parking lay-by area where you can pull in and chat to reception about parking or even unload bags etc if needed.
Room was wheelchair friendly.
Breakfast was included in our booking and had a good range of full Irish options, to cereal, fruit, pastries etc. kept us going to lunch and beyond some days.
Hotel is only a stone's throw from Peace Bridge and city walls of Derry. Very easy to go wander around town.

What a fine hotel indeed. Arrived right to the entry on coach trip, greeted by friendly staff and spoke about the service. Welcoming coffee and made you feel special. Room comfortable but no safe to lock away valuables.

Myself and my wife stayed here on Sunday 25th march as title says the hotel is 10 mins away from the walls the shops the free derry corner and museum staff wer friendly and helpful and the breakfast was decent we had a swim in the pool which is grand and this obviously gets the hotel 4 stars but its a little bit run down our room overlooked a roof and every fitting in the bathroom was falling off but we only paid 81 euro for nite with breakfast to be fair and we wud stay again

The City Hotel was right on the water and right by the Peace Bridge. Our car GPS missed the hotel by a block, but we found it easily enough. Parking was tight and limited, but we did get the last spot. We came in late, so we missed dinner time food, but the bar was still open and had a nice lounge area. Breakfast was a wonderful spread of traditional Irish breakfast items, plus other continental items, too. The whole staff seemed a little rushed, but it was a nice stay. Tried the hot tub - need to have a swim cap to use the pool - I think they have those to buy? Room was nice and had a spacious bathroom.

Room Tip: Ask for river view.

Sunday lunch carvery, we were told we hadn’t booked even though we had booked a few weeks ago, other people were in the same boat being told the same, guy who delt with our table a bit unpleasant, more or less said tough, anyway the food was beautiful, service excellent by the rest of the staff, great value for the money, don’t let one poor individual put you off.
