“An Incredible Stay in an Amazing home!”
Reviewed 19 October 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We were so lucky to stay at Mourne House for over 3 weeks. This house is incredible and has everything you could want in a permanent home, never mind for a holiday. The quality of furnishings, finishes, linens, kitchen devices and utensils were all top end.

The owner was so welcoming and could not have done more for us. From the incredibly generous welcome pack, to checking we had everything we need, gardening and even delivering a table tennis set, we couldn't have had a better host.

The house itself is set in the most idyllic surroundings with views if the beautuful Mourne mountains and Dundrum Bay. It is only a 3 min drive into Dundrum village, with beautiful restaurants and very friendly shops. This is an amazing location for a weekend away or a long holiday like ours.

We honestly could not recommend anything to make this beautiful holiday home better and cannot recommend it highly enough!

“Great Location”
Reviewed 28 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Stayed in Mourne House with a group of 8 to celebrate a 30th birthday. Photos don't do the house justice, it is a brilliant sized property with enough room for 8 people to stay in together and still have their own space. Main bathroom is impressive with a very large shower and modern bath tub. Kitchen has everything you need, right down to Alex providing us with some essentials (milk, butter, bread, etc) as part of a very warm welcome.

Breathtaking views of Sleive Donard from the living room which also has a log fire, and great views of dun drum bay from the other side of the house. Dundrum, Newcastle, The Mournes, Tolleymore all a short drive away.

No issues at all and can't wait for our next excuse to go back.

Tips: Mourne Seafood in Dundrum is lovely for dinner and recycling points can be found in the car park in Dundrum.

Three generations of our family stayed in this fabulous house .There was ample space for everyone . The house is finished to such a high standard it was like staying in a luxury hotel .The Welcome was great we felt immediately at home . A downstairs bedroom with bathroom suited our needs and the open plan kitchen , dining area and day room were amazing . The views were stunning and the enclosed gardens very safe for small children . We have already booked for next year . It comes highly recommended .

“Great Mourne views”

Great place to stay very well equipped and lots of extras you don't often get in rental properties. Plenty of space for 8 people and can have quiet areas to be on your own. Lovely and clean and great kitchen space. Great views of mountains of mourne and the Irish sea. A little too far to walk to newcastle at night so you need a car . But Maghera and Dundrum walkable . Lots of lovely pub restaurants and the people very friendly . Loved the parks Castlewellan, Tollymore and silent valley great walks and things to do like cycling and kayaking . All parks have £5 car park charge but everything else except equipment and cafes are free.
