“A clean, warm, comfortable and very friendly place to stay”
Reviewed 20 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Ideal place to stay for the Mourne Mountains. Great view from the annex of the mountains. The annex is very comfy and roomy. Nice and clean and a completely enclosed garden which was great for our dog

Do ring Edna before you arrive as she asks because the arrival directions are very useful. You get immediate impression of warm welcome to this delightful property. We loved the friendly chickens you pass on the way in and the well tended garden is a pleasure to look at. The garden flowers on the table and many other nice touches contribute the attraction of the annexe. The large bedroom was a surprise and the bed is very comfortable. I was happy to find the Gideon Bible beside the bed. Everything is beautifully clean. We actually preferred the separate chairs but pulled the table out for people to use the bench seat when our family joined us for tea. The ever changing view from the window is a real joy whatever the weather. From here there is easy access to the mountains and we recommend the Spelga Dam, the Silent Valley. The Ring of Gullion and the beautiful Forest Parks close at hand. Newcastle has a good range of places to eaty and one very good shoe shop which you could miss as it has a small frontage. It is a nice flat walk along the front for the less able and our two teenagers also found plenty to do in the town. I hope that we return and are very happy that we found this property and our kind hosts.

“Beautiful little annex”
Reviewed 7 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Thank you to Edna for a very comfortable break. Stayed for just over a week and was greeted by Edna who was lovely.
Annex is very comfortable with a super king size bed. Kitchenette and dining area was adequate for our needs. Could do with a small two seater sofa in front of the tv rather than the 2 chairs but this is not a criticism just a suggestion.
Love or stay and will definitely book again.
A++++++++++

“A wonderful stay”
Reviewed 23 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Really loved the apartment. Sitting in the living room gives a fabulous view of the Mourne mountains. Wonderful roomy bedroom and really comfy beds.
Host and hostess are great people, Mrs McNeilly is full of wonderful bits of tourism advice which is a great help when thinking of exploring the area.
Newcastle Co. Down is a wonderful place, you have the seaside AND the mountains what more can one ask for?
Looking forward to coming back again. CAN'T WAIT

It was lovely to have you here, I am sorry that my knowledge of the French language is virtually non-existent. There was a bit of language difficulty, thank goodness for Google Translate! I hope you enjoyed your visit to Northern Ireland and will return.
