“Perfect as a Lovers' Retreat”

Not quite what we were looking for since it is very remote from civilization but well maintained and very clean. Very cumbersome shower with no mount for the head, no WiFi which we should have confirmed. Don't use the clothes washer unless you have lots of time on your hands. We also thought it was a tad pricey for a 1BR place.

“Good peaceful location and comfortable”
Reviewed 20 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Very clean, comfortable and excellent location. Number of property on the road would have helped to find it. As keen self caterers, kitchen good have been better equipped. Bathroom was disappointing - bath very small and only a hand held shower - bracket on wall would help - a good soak at the end of a walking day is always appreciated.

Very enjoyable week

“Quiet Peaceful retreat perfect getaway for the countryside of Ireland”
Reviewed 28 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Paddys Barn - maybe it used to be one, but it is well converted to a spacious accommodation for 2 people. Great, peaceful location, but only a couple of miles to Ballycastle for local amenities. Had most of the equipment you expect to find, but missed more kitchen stuff for self-caterers who like to cook foods like pasta. Eating out in the area is great. Seafood menus and you could also buy fresh fish at Mortons on the quayside. Close to many attractive natural features like the causeway and glens of Antrim. Prepare for all types of weather - mostly warm in August. Would come again to Antrim and Paddys Barn would be high on the list of places to stay at again.

Liked best: Isolated and peaceful setting, the building was very well maintained
Liked least: lack of some basic kitchen tools - but we managed okay - Wifi would be nice.

“Confortable, tasteful and well situated”
Reviewed 18 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Comfortable, tasteful and well equipped. Five minutes drive from Ballycastle and not much more from the Causeway. Very quiet. A perfect place for knowing this par of NI.

Absolutely loved it! Stayed for 2 nights in August, couldn't have been happier!

It's ideally located for everything on the North Coast - about 5 minutes drive from Ballycastle and Ballintoy.

The host, Eilish, was great - helped us find our way, and showed us around when we arrived - lovely welcome!

The barn itself couldn't have been better, clean and cosy and just delightful. There was a little welcome basket and everything! If you're staying in for the evening there's a fireplace and TV to curl up with. No wifi - but you shouldn't need it in the peace of the countryside.

Perfect little getaway spot - we'll definitely be back.
