What a wonderfully tranquil place. Visited with our family and were delighted by the quality of the accommodation. Real peat fire keeps you cosy at night and the abundance of windows at the property means you are always flooded by light on even the gloomiest of days. The lack of TV and WiFi meant we could actually talk to the children and we played board games and chatted each evening. Not a single fight amongst them which with 5 kids is a first. Close to all the wonderful sights of Northern Ireland we could not have found a more perfect getaway.

“This cottage is hard to beat!”

This place is hard to beat...an outstanding, family-friendly dwelling and a home-from-home. The cottage has been sympathetically modernised in recent times and combines traditional charms with all the latest facilities and requirements of the present day visitor. You can use this house as a base for touring the stunning Antrim Coast, or just relax here watching the Lighthouse on Rathlin twinkling by night, or sitting in the garden listening to the bleating of the sheep. The design, layout and aspect all leave nothing to be desired. It was the perfect destination for our family reunion where old memories were rekindled and future happy memories were formed.

This is a great cottage, very high quality design and location. The Ballycastle area is full of things to do, friendly locals and good pubs. I Would highly rate Gortconny Cottage for a laid back holiday base.
