“Ideal Cosy Getaway”
Reviewed 4 September 2012 for a stay in August 2012

We (couple in late 20's) stayed at Breen Cottage for 5 nights as a base to explore Northern Ireland. Organising the stay was very convenient and Moira sent great directions prior to our stay.
I would definitely recommend the cottage to others and we hope to return again for a weekend.
We didnt get the best weather while we were there but we enjoyed the excuse to light the fire and relax for the evening! The cottage has everything you would need, washing machine, dryer, WiFi, Radio, TV, and there was more kitchen equipment than i have in my own home!
There is lots of information in the cottage on places to see and lots of opportunity for long walks and exploration. Ballycastle is only a short distance away and there is a tourist information office there, as well as places to eat/get groceries. We went for dinner in the Celler as reccommend by others - delicious lamb and seafood!!
The one thing I would say though was that you would need a car if you had a lot to do in a short time. There were people who wrote in the guestbook that they walked everywhere but we didnt get the best weather for this, and we wanted to be able to travel further a field without having to rely on public transport/walking.

Liked best: Little touches such as fire, teabags/coffee/spices in the press.
Liked least: Our own fault but we didnt realise we had to turn up the thermostat outside the kitchen in order for the heating to work. We realised on the third day though and it was lovely and warm then!

“A lovely little cottage in the middle of nowhere”

This cottage is just perfect for 1, 2 or 3 adjults who want to see the beautiful coast and countryside of Co Antrim. It is warm and cosy and you can even light a peat fire if you wish. The kitchen is well stocked if you want to cater for yourself. A free secure wi-fi is available, which we found invaluable for researching the locality on our i-Phone.
