Owner description: The SS Nomadic is known as Titanic's little sister. Built at the same time, by the same people, in the same Harland and Wolff shipyard as Titanic, Nomadic brought those boarding the great liner at Cherbourg to the ship. That was the start of an adventurous life, as she played a part in WW One and Two, carried many famous people to the great trans-Atlantic liners, became a floating restaurant in Paris and was saved from being scrapped by the people of Belfast. Now completely refurbished as a visitor attraction, you can walk in the footsteps of history, learn her story, and become part of the new chapter of her dramatic existence.

A taste of what Titanic was. Built side-by-side, the tender that brought passengers from Cherbourg to the ship gave a feeling of being a part of the maiden voyage. Great displays and 'ghosts' of the original crew offered a lot of information. Kids love it.

Don't miss a visit to the First Class toilets to experience the original Crappers!

Thank Elizabeth D

The Nomadic is the tender to the Titanic and the other Olympic Class ships of the White Star Line. The way it was built and outfitted was in line with the Titanic itself, so you can easily see the differences between first, second and third class (tip: check out the toilets).

The top deck was shut due to the weather but it is worth doing as part of the Titanic multi ticket deal.

This vessel spent most of its life in France, great addition to the Titanic Experience.

Worth a visit.

Included in the Titanic Museum ticket was free entrance to the SS Nomadic (small replica of the Titanic) located just across the road from the museum. This is the worlds last surviving White Star ship which has been lovingly restored so it’s worth a visit. The ship had many roles during its lifetime (carried solders in WWI & WWII, restaurant by the Eiffel Tower) but originally it was used to ferry passengers (divided by class) to the Titanic.
There was a lovely friendly lady at the entrance offering to explain the ship to you, but I elected to explore alone. They had “crew” projected on the walls, so there was a barman “talking to you” from behind the bar and also the captain from inside his cabin. The exhibition also mentions famous passengers such as Charlie Chaplin, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, and the "unsinkable” Molly Brown.
There’s also a statue of Charlie Chaplin by the stern of the ship.

Didn’t enjoy this trip. Went right round in 5 minutes. Only visited as free after titanic museum. Staff very friendly and helpful but I wouldn’t pay to visit the ship on its own.
