Yes as others have said, this hotel used to be the Holiday Inn. Because of this you can expect pretty much the same fare. In fact it is easy to spot the old HI signage throughout the hotel, Clayton rebranding is not yet 100% finished I guess.
The rebranding exercise means some redecoration which has spruced up the hotel here and there, although small details have been overlooked or ignored like a rotting corner of the bath panel and shower that would not turn off in my 'executive' room! No great deal but you can't help feeling that rebranding a hotel is a great opportunity to really sort things out.
Fantastic gym and swimming pool here, plenty of equipment to accommodate high demand in the morning.
In-room dinning not very inspiring and I would recommend making other arrangements. The house special burger was dry and without much taste. Breakfast was considerably better with plenty of choice apart from the usual processed meats on the hot buffet - I avoided these after the night before.
I would recommend staying here as the hotel is comfortable, conveniently located (multi storey NCP) a short walk away, benefits from good facilities and is reasonably priced.More
