Great food and craft beers on tap, what is not to like here? I came in one lunchtime. It was fairly quiet (surprisingly) so even though I had not pre-booked I was able to get a table. The food was amazing as was the beer. The attention to detail was a positive delight and simply made the dining experience better than ever. The £5-£10-£5 is a great draw card and the choices are amazing when you consider that this is, comparatively speaking, quite a small restaurant. Generally speaking, if you want to be sure of a table you really do need to book beforehand. I was not so lucky another time when I tried to get an unbooked table. But this place definitely goes on my list of places to eat when I am next in Belfast.

When you enter Molly’s Yard from the street, you expect some sort of beer garden with pub food, but what an exquisite surprise this place is! Hidden in the back building of an inner courtyard, the restaurant has dining tables next to the bar at ground level and tables for larger groups upstairs. The atmosphere is relaxed, the girls serving friendly. The big surprise is the excellent food you get for an incredible price. Molly’s has a very good vegetarian menu as well; I loved the mushroom starter and gnocchi main. The food was a delight; no wonder Michelin has recommended the place repetitively. Strongly recommended!

The whole place feels special. In fact, just finding it is a treat. You walk through a small door, cross a courtyard and then there's a door. Viola. A cozy place with 12 or so tables appears. Friendly staff. Delicious food with meat, fish and vegetarian options. The goats pie, delicious. Roasted carrot soup, yum. Scallops, yum. The bread, incredible.

Almost went back the next night.

The food was wholesome and excellent, there was a wonderful selection of their own craft beers and the waitress took the time to have a proper conversation (although maybe this is just an Englishman in Ireland!!). Tucked away it may be but well worth seeking out with enough space between the tables and the music not too loud. Book ahead as when we tried to get a table the following night they were full!

Surprisingly quiet downstairs Friday, though upstairs with larger tables and functions could have been busier. By 9:30 pm we were on our own in the quite small lower restaurant.
Can't fault the starters, mains or desserts, which were all tasty and well presented.
One minor issue is a draught, very evident from the table nearest the door, and still discernible when we moved to a table nearer the bar.
The background music was also slightly loud for comfortable conversation.
Staff were pleasant and helpful throughout.
