We stopped off here briefly on our way to the beach and it was a great place to visit. The journey to the castle from the road involves walking through a golf course but this is easily navigated and not as issue. There is not much left of the castle itself but the views up the valley, and down to the sea front are amazing and well worth the walk.

There's not much left of the castle and no info boards so I don;t know anything about it, but the views from the castle are amazing with good walks over to the end of the headland through a golf course.

There are few words to describe the views from Pennard Castle, down across Three Cliffs Bay, parking in one of the side street opposite the common/ golf course and follow the white stone marked path across the common, pass the ww2 water tower and you approach the fabulous castle ruins, what a view, it is breathtaking, I always recommend it to visitors and they are spellbound, photographs do not do it justice, you have to see for yourselves. The beach can be accessed from the castle down the dune path and if tide is out it is possible to walk either to Oxwich or around to Southgate and up the path, cafe. tearoom (fabulous) at the top, this will be a highlight on any ones visit to the Gower.

It is not very easy to get to and is basically 3 part walls. No information on site, so you need to do your homework to understand the history of the castle.

The view from the top is great and the view of the castle from the bottom is good. It's a steep hard walk up against the shifting sand cliff but worth it.

Well worth the walk up the cliff tops to see this history and its surroundings. Beautiful location within minutes of more beautiful walks and scenery

Had a beautiful walk to the castle from Nicolaston Burrows down to Pobbles bay and walked on the beach right round to Great Tor and back up through Pemaen Burrows with my dog. Absolutely stunning views and beautiful sunshine. It’s a really soul edifying walk. A must do! ☀️✌️☀️

Pennard Castle can be reached by walking over the golf course or cliff tops, with the golf course offering an easier route. There isn't that much left of the castle itself (it is certainly not as spectacular as Oystermouth Castle, for instance) but there is enough to provoke thoughts of what it would have been like keeping a look-out for invaders, and to capture some lovely photos.

I've visited many times and although the weather on our most recent trip was overcast, the views over the valley and Three Cliffs Bay are a must-see when in the area.
