“Lovely cottage, perfect location .”
Reviewed 26 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

We stayed at Pencraig for a week and absolutely loved the location. It's a 10 minute walk (downhill) to the beaches and the circular walk round was really great with fab views. The cottage had everything we needed and had a lovely log fire which was perfect after a day of sightseeing and walking the coastal paths. Pembrokeshire is such a beautiful place to visit and the location of the cottage is great to access the main roads both towards the South and North of the area. It does need a little bit of renovation however but that wouldn't stop us going back for a second visit. We had a lovely week- thanks.

I'm glad you had a good time and enjoyed the log fire. The Pembs coastline has such variety and is also so extensive it never seems busy.

“A comfortable few days away in a great location”
Reviewed 29 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

This cottage was just right for what we wanted. It's well equipped, clean and comfortable My teenage son was amazed to find the book he had brought to read already there and my husband found an Inga tree farming article from 2012 of great interest . It's about 10 mins walk to a beach from where we canoed and the night ski was clear from right by the cottage. We were very lucky with the weather and had a great walk around Dinas Head as well as canoeing into caves and enjoying the geology. which was very different to St David's where we have been more often. You can also walk up into the Prescelli's. Newport was great for a wander round on a wet morning and there is a Farmers market there on Mondays.

Liked best: The location and cosiness
Liked least: We knew in advance that mobile phone and wifi reception would be very poor whihc has it's pros and cons. Half way to the beach, we tended to get emails through

I'm glad it all went well - you had some good weather. The Inga article is in the magazine I write and publish (farmideas.co.uk) and was really interesting to research and write. It's a system which can transform the lives of slash and burn tropical farmers and allows them to settle. The man involved in the Inga Foundation has a huge amount of drive and determination.

“Lovely traditional cottage in a tranquil location close to Wales Coast Path”
Reviewed 13 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We chose Pencraig for two reasons: first, because of its very reasonable weekly rate, and secondly, the cottage’s perfect location in Brynhenllan near Dinas (on the main A487). The single-storey property beautifully combines traditional features (thick stone walls, open fireplace, exposed beams) with all mod cons (central heating, French doors, fully-fitted modern kitchen). The owner, Mike, is very genial and more than happy to help with any issues (we met him when he came to tend to the garden). Best of all, this cottage is overflowing with books, including classics, modern fiction and non-fiction, as well as plenty of original art (some painted by Mike’s late mother). There is no mobile phone coverage; however, this only added to the sense of peace and tranquillity. A delightful find and somewhere we hope to return one day.
