Description: Perched along Cardiff High Street, Bella Italia provides the perfect retreat from a busy day's shopping or an after work dinner with colleagues. Part of the hugely successful Bella Italia restaurant group, this Cardiff High Street branch boasts the signature Bella Italia design with a rustic yet stylish style dining room. The menu is full of Italian classics where you could start with a dish of Formaggio Fritto (mozzarella, fontina and parmesan cheese in breadcrumbs deep fried with sweet red onion marmalade followed by a mushrooms risotto or a chargrilled salmon fillet with tomato and olive salsa. Great for any dining occasion, Bella Italia is one Italian restaurant that won't break the bank.

Ethnic background music and slovak sounding waitress was not a good start but the food was good and all four of us polished it off.

Good Italian for a reasonable price. This chain of resturants has a good menu, if you don't want pasta have a burger. Prices are very reasonable and service was excellent. Comfort food in a cute, but chain style atmosphere. reminded me of Olive Garden in the States. Nothing wrong with that!

I've been here quite a bit, usually when I'm really hungry, which enhances the appeal of large pasta dishes. It's a chain, and there are actually two branches in central Cardiff, one on St Mary's Street and one in the Brewery Quarter. I prefer the brewery quarter branch - the food is much the same in either, but the Brewery Quarter branch feels less cramped. The food is tasty, although possibly not the most authentic, and there's plenty of it. The service is actually something of a highlight - in both Cardiff branches they manage to be just attentive enough, friendly and helpful, and the food turns up pretty fast.

Always welcome, the food is vvery tasty and reasonable, after all you are in the High Street of Cardiff.
They have specials to order if the main menu doesn't suit you. We go all the time when were shopping.

only went in there as I had Tesco Clubcard reward vouchers, and still had a lot to pay.then they gave me money off coupon to spend in the New Year, so went back again, and again had to spend more than I would have liked.
