The owner was very friendly and gave us discount vouchers for a local pub, which he recommended to eat. It was good advice and we had a nice meal. The room was a good size and clean. However, attention to detail was lacking - one curtain was hanging off a hook and 3 bulbs had gone on the centre light, plus one on the reading light. We mentioned this on the first morning to the person who served breakfast, but they were not replaced over our 3 night stay.
The breakfast was generous, but spoilt by weak coffee and poor sausages.
The self-contained guest annexe was lovely and bright and private. It was easy to come and go. It's well-situated for exploring the area.
