“Perfect location and accommodation for a large-group weekend retreat”
Reviewed 22 November 2014 for a stay in November 2014

Staying at the The Barn was an ideal place for us to hold a weekend choir retreat - the bedrooms were immaculate and very comfortable. The downstairs section of the Barn had a lot of space and still had a cosy atmosphere. Our hosts David and Carla provided us with everything we needed and the surrounding beautiful countryside topped it all off. Would recommend The Barn to all groups - large and small.

“Great accommodation, great area with lots of countryside pursuits”
Reviewed 26 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

A very comfortable barn conversion in stunning countryside. The barn is very well equipped, warm and cosy. As it is in the Brecon Beacons there are many fine walks at all grades, plus the Lake nearby adds another dimension with a hide for dedicated birdwatchers. Local village has a good couple of pubs and there is an Activity Centre nearby. An excellent holiday.

“wonderful barn conversion in excellent location”

We have just stayed with three other couples and had a superb weekend. The barn is beautifully warm and the beds are really comfortable. there are also very good showers and the heated towel rails are nice. It is a wonderful location and we managed a 9 mile walk from the house yesterday and today walked 4 miles directly from the house. How lovely not to use the car! Our hosts were very helpful and welcoming

“Great place to stay”

Really beautifully and thoughtfully prepared self-catering barn; excellent value. We enjoyed the welcoming homemade marmalade! We walked from the barn to the lake and completed the ring (20kms) and several other long walks nearby. Great open space downstairs. No garden space on this working farm but this was fine for us as we were out and about. David checked in to see we were ok and gave us good walking route advice. Would definitely stay here again.

“perfect retreat for all the family - the Barn at Treberfydd”
Reviewed 29 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Hardly a barn any more - this wonderful spacious conversion sees three upstairs bedrooms (with two toilets each with spacious shower accommodation) plus a fourth double bedroom downstairs again with loo and shower. (This ground floor room was perfect as we had a three generation spanning party so the oldest of us could avoid the unfamiliar stairs.) The open plan vast living space has a well equipped kitchen, dining table and sitting space, around a "stove" wood burning fireplace and a flat screen TV with freesat.
We explored the house of the owner which is a victorian gothic masterpiece, used in two episodes of Dr Who (much to our teenagers' delight). The old Walled Garden is now tenanted by a garden centre where its own produce can be purchased and where tea coffee and cake can be enjoyed too.
Even in damp grey weather the views were spectacular.
Try the Brecon region yourself some time and if you base yourselves at the Barn at Treberfydd you will certainly be comfortable and welcome.
