“perfect retreat for all the family - the Barn at Treberfydd”
Reviewed 29 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Hardly a barn any more - this wonderful spacious conversion sees three upstairs bedrooms (with two toilets each with spacious shower accommodation) plus a fourth double bedroom downstairs again with loo and shower. (This ground floor room was perfect as we had a three generation spanning party so the oldest of us could avoid the unfamiliar stairs.) The open plan vast living space has a well equipped kitchen, dining table and sitting space, around a "stove" wood burning fireplace and a flat screen TV with freesat.
We explored the house of the owner which is a victorian gothic masterpiece, used in two episodes of Dr Who (much to our teenagers' delight). The old Walled Garden is now tenanted by a garden centre where its own produce can be purchased and where tea coffee and cake can be enjoyed too.
Even in damp grey weather the views were spectacular.
Try the Brecon region yourself some time and if you base yourselves at the Barn at Treberfydd you will certainly be comfortable and welcome.

“Comfortable and lovely place to stay in a beautiful setting.”
Reviewed 12 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

This area of Wales has stunning scenery and is very peaceful and unspoilt. There are some lovely walks and a nature reserve close by.
The barn is lovely, with very comfortable beds and bedding, all well appointed and equipped throughout. It was spotlessly clean. This is the first year it has been available and there is a good mix of old and new furniture. The owners were friendly and helpful.
We would happily return. Tomorrow sounds good!

“Beautifully appointed & very comfortable.”
Reviewed 10 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

I was very impressed by all the amenities & how spotlessly clean it was. The beds are very comfortable & the kitchen had all the appliances you needed & lots of crockery so you didn't run out before the dishwasher was full! All this & set in beautiful countryside.

“spacious, warm, comfortable, well-equipped, lovely views”
Reviewed 28 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

A gorgeous barn conversion with no expense spared; spacious rooms & showers, comfortable beds, very well-equipped kitchen, spotlessly clean, ideal for a group of friends or a large family; lovely views, close to nature reserves, activity centre, archaeological sites, interesting historical towns (Brecon, Abergavenny, Hay on Wye ...); quiet and secluded but within easy driving distance of the A40.
