My husband and I spent two very enjoyable weeks here in August with our daughters (8 and 11). The property was in fabulous condition, very thoughtfully and tastefully decorated. We loved the big lounge/dinning room, with lots of sofas and plenty of room for the kids to play, watch TV etc. The kitchen was well equipped, and the welcome basket of Welsh goodies was a lovely surprise. Bedrooms were very comfortable: the 11-year old loved her cosy single room up under the roof with a view to the mountains, and both doubles had spacious king-size beds. We really appreciated having the run of the garden, and the owners were more than helpful in dealing with any problems we encountered. The location of Abbey End is great for exploring the coast (Conwy, Llandudno) as well as Snowdonia, and there is a great selection of brochures about all the local attractions.

From the moment we walked through the door, the property felt homely and the heating had been put on in readiness for our arrival. There was a friendly welcome from the hosts and the accommodation proved perfect for our family of 7 (5 adults and 2 children). The accommodation is in a perfect spot for exploring the local area and we spent time in Betws-y-coed, Bethesda (to satisfy our adreniline junkies who had to experience the Zip Wire (they loved it!), Greenwood Forest Park and the various walks to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Thank you too for the very generous welcome basket. We would certainly recommend this property and will be hoping to re-visit again.

The cottage is spacious, with very comfortable beds; excellent bathrooms and well equipped kitchen. Bedroom and bathroom on ground floor a bonus for one of our party who can't do stairs. Living space very comfortable and with excellent TV system. Good broadband. An extensive garden. Location mid way between coast and mountains; easily accessible on a main road but sheltered and quiet. Hotel with bar 100 yards walk. Hosts were very helpful, friendly and welcoming.

Ours was a long awaited return visit to the Uk with our young children after ten years in Australia and Abbey End helped remind us of the beauty of North Wales. It made a perfect base for us. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Loved it, exactly what we wanted & expectations were exceeded on all points. If I could live there permanently, I would :)
