“old freinds”
Reviewed 11 June 2011

What a lovely welcome we were given by Jaap and Ghislaine, from the moment we arrived we were treated like old freinds.
Our room was clean , tidy, spacious and comfortable, and had a beautiful view of Betws y Coed valley.
Breakfast was good , with a choice to suit all.
The village is just a short stroll away along a good public footpath, with lots of good places to eat or to enjoy a quiet drink
Having to leave was the worst part but we shall return as soon as we can......

Just returned from weekend bank hol break, were made welcome by the very helpful owners, nothing too much trouble, even supplied new toaster for our gluten free bread (thank you) We had a lovely room (6) with a fking size bed and a full size bath and great views, friends stayed in two other top floor rooms and also had good views from the side. Great place to stay for sightseeing and walking, even better being able to return after a days walk to a pool and sauna, in walking distance to some great restaurants -will certainly stay here again

We have just returned from the Park Hill B&B and found the owners and staff very accommodating and always keen to help.

Only negative was the bed. Could do with a new matrice.

Excellent location and value for money.

We wanted to relax.
We unwinded completely in the Park Hill. Quiet location.. We had a nice side facing room with a standard size bed and a shower. Looked across fields filled with sheepwith lambs.
In the morning we woke up with the “noise” of a woodpecker.
We enjoyed breakfast.
We tried all: full cooked with fried egg, smoked haddock, and scrambled egg on toast. All beautiful. We stayed three nights, and we went walking to and from the village. Jaap advised us some walks, and even had a map we could borrow .
And after the Tree-top-adventure (only 5 minutes walking from the Park Hill) we were very happy with the sauna and the pool.
We came for relaxation. We found it. We’ll be back.

Just come back from the Park Hill and we found the rooms very clean and comfortable, with an enormous bed that made for an excellent night's sleep.Jaap and Ghislaine were very friendly and welcoming and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. The breakfast was very good, there were several choices of cereal and fruit,as well as options for the main breakfast. The walk into Betws Y Coed is not as perilous or dirty as it has been described elsewhere, yes you have to cut through a farmyard for all of 30 seconds, but you're in the countryside, what do you expect.?Also the pool is not an Olympic sized affair, with high dive boards like you might get at your local leisure centre, but it is adequate for a little splash around, and the exact dimensions are clearly listed on the website so it shouldn't have come as a surprise.I think the people who have written bad reviews must normally stay with the Sultan of Brunei in state rooms with gold taps,or maybe haven't stayed in many B&Bs anyway. All in all the hotel was clean, cosy and the owners were an absolute pleasure and we will return.
