“Great Stay At The Cottage”
Reviewed 19 December 2014 for a stay in August 2014
people found this review helpful

Our family took a trip to Goytre Wharf and stayed in their 'Aqueduct Cottage' just in the 'dip' by the marina.

The cottage is small but very cosy, and sleeps four people and a dog! The facilities within the cottage were great and had everything we needed to sustain ourselves for the week, and not that we used it much but the TV Freeview reception was excellent!

The cottage itself is a stones throw away from the ABC boat yard 'Redline Boats' where they also hire out day boats - Which we took advantage of and cruised down the canal for a few hours and back on one of the days, although it did rain, but that made it more of an adventure!

It's also very near a cafe that's situated near the marina, which was a nice place to go for a coffee and a baguette - It was reasonably priced too.

The cottage is a 10 minute drive from Abergavenny, which has plenty of pubs, eateries and markets and so on so although the cottage is quite rural, you're not too far from the 'hustle and bustle' should you need it.

So, all in all it was a great location for a family trip and also very reasonably priced, so much so that we booked the cottage for a second time a month later. =p
