“Quirky layout, quiet at night”

One of the double bedrooms is accessed via a cottage staircase leading up directly from the kitchen, which in turn is only accessed via the living room. The main bathroom is immediately off the hallway, by the front door. The other two bedrooms are reached from another staircase in a rear hallway and share a Jack and Jill spacious shower room: these bedrooms are directly above the owners' garage and store. The only dining space is the kitchen table, which has just about enough space to seat four, but not six people.
Decor is not contemporary, as you can probably see from the photo of the living room, but there is plenty of space...just a very unusual layout.
The wifi worked fine. There is a nice little private cottage garden with views towards the Malvern Hills. There is just about enough parking space for two cars out front, and access is via a rather bumpy single-track driveway a couple of hundred yards long, off which are a few bungalows. The owners were friendly and discreet.
There was some noise from farm machinery during the day, but all was quiet and peaceful after about 7pm each day.
There is a pub which does food a short dirve away, but shopping for food needs a little more thought, as there's not much within easy reach. Bring stuff with you, though we did find a welcome pack of tea bags and shop-bought cake on arrival.
The one thing we didn't like was the smell of fumes from the oil-fired boiler in the kitchen which provides the hot water and heating. Luckily we were there during a very hot week, so the heating was not on, and we were able to leave the windows open to clear the smell: you have no way of controlling the boiler, so would need to ask the owners in the farmhouse next door. Also be aware that they had been having problems with bees emerging from nests inside the brick walls, and ants: there was a lot of powder down on the kitchen floor.
