Russell’s is probably the best restaurant in Broadway!

Very classy - great menu and impressive wine list.

Management and Staff really know their business.

Light and comfortable interior with some great artwork on the walls (which is available for purchase!)

Reservations usually required so book ahead.

My husband, two teenage daughters and I visited here at the weekend for dinner. I would recommend booking as it is very busy but we were never rushed and there does not appear to be this two sitting policy that's creeping into most restaurants.
I started with a blue cheese panna cotta served with fig and candied walnuts-delicious.
My youngest daughter had butternut squash soup, creamy and full of flavour and the other two had scallops also good not overcooked. The star of the show for me was my main course which was Halibut, beautifully cooked, full of flavour. The service was good and efficient. Overall a very good meal. The starters of scallops were £12 each, the panna cotta £10 and the mains were £26

We went to Russell as a group of 6 of us in March 2018. Whilst the menu looked inviting if not limited in selection the restaurant seating area was clean although lacked atmosphere. The service from the start was very poor with staff bring out the wrong orders and forgetting what we asked for. The table staff were not attentive and we had to ask for things like sauces or drinks all night. The 6 of us pretty much all had a different stareter and they were all ok and nice enough. The main courses were all really poor. The steaks we had were really poor cuts including the fillets which were very chewy and over cooked. With all the main courses a key feature of the food was that all six meals were literally swimming in cooking oil and grease, which combined with the poor quality of meat and the fact that all of the dishes were over cooked made for a really ooor dining experience. All of this was compounded by the fact that this is the most expensive restaurant in Broadway. I would certainly not recommend this place for any reason at all. Go to the Swan or the Lygon which are next door either side.

Our meal was excellent, including the Vegan options for a member of our party. The staff were young and pleasant, but some seemed new to the task and are not yet totally customer focussed.

Having a positive and plesent booking on the phone we had high hopes but when we arrived we were shut in a small side room! Was this because we had a child?? It was 6.30pm! Every member of staff closed the door behind them until I complained! We felt unwanted. Food was good but had better the previous evening in a more welcoming setting
