Thank you to Andrew for providing us with a great stay during our 2 day break in the Cotswold
also a thank you to all of the very friendly staff. Be prepared to find a very old property where every effort has been made to keep all areas in keeping with the age and historic value of this beautiful place. We would recommend the home cooked food as there is a good choose and plenty of it. well done to Andrew and all his staff.

Thank you for these very kind remarks. I have tried to add items that keep the character of The Inn and a flavour of The Cotswolds. Hope to welcome you both back again soon.

This was our fourth visit. Have a break in this area every February if we can. We stayed in Lower Mill cottage. What a wonderful cottage. Excellent living area, great open gas fire and a patio doorway out into the garden which has its own stream running through it.
Well equiped kitchen complete with all the aids you need. Well situated about half a mile from the Crown Inn. Great base from which to visit Stow on the Wold, Burton on the Water, Chipping Norton, Evesham, Moreton in the marsh etc. Wonderful bedrooms, one twin and the other a double. Andrew Scot the owner, has furnished the rooms with immaculate taste. Many items are antique and of excellent quality. No MFI here! Lovelly and cosy with good central heating. Andrew even brought us a cake on arrival. Little things mean a lot. Very comfortable beds. Excellent accomodation whether you are only two, as we were this time, or two couples as we were last year. Not ,I think, user friendly if you have very young children. The fire place and the open stairway could be problematic if you have a wondering/exploring 1 - 3 year old. Appart from that, here's looking forward to next year.............

Room Tip: Either bedroom, both equally as good.

Room Tip: We had room 5 which had the most incredible bed.

When walking the Cotswold Way, that we are just off, thank you both for your very kind comments and are glad that no further walking had to take place for that evening and could rest accordingly.

The company i work for(HASTE Ltd) have used this establishment on many occasions the last few months to rest their weary staff after a hard days graft.
Andrew Scott(proprietor)Steve,Andy the chef and the rest of the staff are always very welcoming and pleased to see us, as we are them. The pub offers good food and drink at very reasonable prices which also includes a discounted early diners menu, the bar is very cosy but as a traditional english pub should be. They offer live entertainment on thurs evenings live jazz one week and blues the next, unfortunately for myself i have only ever experienced the jazz but it's not my thing, can't wait to stay when the blues is on.The room's are clean and well presented albeit a little quirky with their uneven floor levels but that's all the fun of a 17th century pub. Other local pubs could learn a thing or two about customer service and not bad mouthing the competition, you know who you are!!. Would definitely recommend to others and will be staying again.

Room Tip: All rooms very much the same, don,t be too fussed.

Thank you so much for your very kind comments. We all so want to provide a typical English Inn with a very warm welcome for those that have been working hard during the day and just want to relax with a bit of entertainment or homemade dishes at a fair price in the evenings.

I visit Broadway a few times a year and still find myself being drawn to the Crown and Trumpet for lunch. My parents, their friends and my sisters all enjoy the fine fayre after my recommendation in April 2011. I still reckon for good, homecooked food, atmosphere and great service it is the best pub in Broadway. Yesterday we enjoyed a variety of meals between us, including haddock a ham ploughmans, a well known dish by Brains only homemade by the pub (but the word is considered profanity on here!) and a chilli. Around £50 including drinks (for 5 of us) which is still great value.
Give it a go - you won't be disappointed - we never have a poor experience at the Crown and Trumpet!

Room Tip: Didn't stay overnight this time, but rooms are clean and quirky (well it is an old establishment...
