As a business traveller, I have mixed views regarding this chain. Booked two nights in September for a local family wedding. Wasn't cheap/wasn't expensive. Arrived later than expected at gone 7.30 on the Friday night. Guy at reception was keen to point out that the Harvester next door would close at 9. He signposted us to an Asda up the road where we could get snacks/drinks. The room was spacy and comfortable. Bathroom tired, but hey, I would struggle to keep my bathroom tip top with any number of users a week. Shower very warm and powerful.
Went to the wedding on the Saturday. Came back late. We had been told to use our room key to get into the hotel building and had been sufficiently worried to take our car key with us just in case we couldn't get into the hotel! Not to worry. There was a caretaker on, and we accessed our room with no difficulty. The room had been cleaned and tidied and it was nice to return to.
Didn't check out as such. Left key in box at reception. Would have liked to thank staff personally as everything was good value for the money paid. We had a nice stay.More
