We stayed two nights at the Old Registry on Haworth's old cobbled Main Street. We had the Memories Room with its four poster bed and huge bathroom. The room was comfortable and clean. The Yorkshire breakfast was yummy. Free parking (voucher provided) was just round the corner at the Haworth Old Hall Inn. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: The Memories Room overlooks the Main Street and is excellent.

Just got back from a one nightstay in the beautiful town of Haworth and had the good fortune to stop at the Old Registry.
Fabulous olde world charm with an excellent yorkshire breakfast.
Highly recommended.

The Old Registry is a lovely welcoming B&B at the bottom of Main Street in Haworth, which is the scenic street. This is a 5 minute walk from the Bronte Parsonage. The street has a number of bars and restaurants.
The room was comfortable and had all the facilities needed. The decor was not particularly to my or my partners liking but it is just a matter of taste. It was very feminine in its decor but was clean and tidy.
The room we chose only had a shower, not a bath but this was our choice.
Our only criticisms were that the shower could have been a little more powerful and it was occasionaly tricky to find and maintain a comfortable water temperature. Also, the Wi-Fi signal did not reach to the top floor so we had to go downstairs to get this.
The breakfasts were superb. A full Yorkshire breakfast was a great start to the day with local produce.

I would recommend avoiding Haworth at the beginning of the week. It was a little like a ghost town and most of the restaurants and shops were closed Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday. We were advised it does get busier at the end of the week. This could also be due to the time of year we visted but it was a bit of a shock to find so many things closed.

Overall the Old Registry is a good place to stay. I recommend the Weavers and Warenui restaurants for evening meals.

Room Tip: Cherubs room has sloping ceiling - not for the tall!

Having stayed here three years ago and been blown away we decided to take my parents for a weekend away. Just wanted to record that under the new management, Leanne and Peter, it is just as lovely as before. Leanne had previously worked at The Old Registry when it was being run by Paul and Paula, and all the nice little touches, like free breakfast in bed etc, are the same as ever. Likewise the ethos and attitude is the same, really friendly and helpful - I felt a bit cheeky asking them if we could put our bottle of wine in the fridge rather than buying one from the bar, but far from being put out they went out of their way to be helpful and Peter actually gave us a wine cooler for it as well. Being able to get a thermos of tea to take on our walk up on the moors was great.

We stayed in the Lilac Room this time. Would definitely recommend this room, it was very comfy and relaxing, although tall people should probably steer clear due to the sloping ceiling!

The Old Registry remains one of the best places we've ever stayed and we'll definitely be back soon.

Room Tip: Lilac Room is lovely and seems the best value of the lowest-priced rooms (lovely bathroom) but slopi...
