On a rubbish cold and wet day during Easter, this opportunity was heaven sent.
Two welcomers greeted us warmly and handed us the information sheet. Guides were around and about, happy to volunteer information when they noticed a particular item was receiving special attention.
Arrival was carefully engineered to ensure plenty of sightseeing, allowing timely entry to the cafe for lunch before the 5000 arrived.
Tip. Target Northgate Car Park and allow time to be distracted by the very convenient shopping opportunities all around.

Visited yesterday and was really impressed with this lovely building. The Norman Arches of the nave, the beautiful Arundel Screen, the Lady Chapel and the painted boards were some of the highlights.

We joined a guided tour with Graham who was knowledgeable and welcoming. We loved hearing about the history and how certain things came about. Definitely worth a visit! Thank you

A beautiful cathedral, a little more scaffolding than I’d like, but it can only be for a good reason! Amazing inside!

The cathedral is well worth a visit and free to enter but the area that surrounds it makes it extra special, particularly the gorgeous Bishop's Garden, which is lovely at all times of the year.
