Description: We are a café on the river Arun, we think we have the best view in Arundel! We serve fresh cut bread for your sandwiches and everything is made to order, so either wash down with hot drink or a glass of wine or beer. The cakes are all made on the premises along with the sausage rolls and soup. We have under cover and outdoor seating along with clean toilets. We also provide a self drive motor boat hire service which allows you to drive to the black rabbit and back so you can view the castle from the river. We put down shut at 5pm but if there are still customers around we stay open longer. We are a family run business who cater for Gluten free diets we also carry soya and Almond milk for those intolerant to milk.

This lovely restaurant is just off the main car park and a perfect place to enjoy a drink or a meal when you have travelled afar to see Arundel.
We popped in for a cuppa and cherry scones ! The scones are Delicious and served warm with butter or with cream and jam . We were good and only had butter .....
Beautiful riverside location to sit in the sun and enjoy .
We were watching the boats go by and watching the plates of food being delivered to the other tables and although we didn't eat a main meal the food did look lovely and lots of it .
Great little place . Would highly recommend .

My Wife & I popped into the Waterside Cafe yesterday afternoon and as usual the food was excellent and way beyond what you'd expect from a traditional tea sop / cafe.

We shared a Ham Hock Terrine with a portin of some excellent chips.

Whilst the core food was superb the platter additions were what really made the dish. The knowledge of the chef, the attention to detail, presentation and location made this a perfect lunch and unbelievable value for money.

I so wish this place opened in the evening but acknowledge that the unpredictability of the British weather makes this impossible.

Wonderful food and a great welcome, thank you.

Four of us visited last weekend in the glorious sunshine, and had a really lovely meal. However the woman serving was curt and rude, and my friend asked if they did children's sandwiches, for her 5 year old. They said yes they did, and she ordered a cheese and pickle sandwich, which cost £4:50, the same as an adult sandwich. It also arrived full of salad.....is it only me that thinks most 5 year olds don't want their sandwiches stuffed with lettuce, tomato and cucumber? Having said this, we ordered coronation chicken ciabatta and 'fat chips' and it was really delicious !

We were fortunate to visit on a warm, sunny day, so were able to sit comfortably by the river. Despite the appearance of small re serving hatch etc, the food was well prepared and very speedily served. Handy for the town, car park etc

We waited almost an hour for a portion of fish and chips and one escalope of chicken.
The portions were on the smaller side, quality was acceptable.
The view is nice.
Cash only.
It's not very good value for money.
