We visited for lunch, a party of 4, having booked on-line. We wanted something cheap and cheerful on this occasion.

This Beefeater is on our doorstep but must admit have not visited in the past 8 yrs.

Friendly serving staff, very nice starter and the mains at £5 per head from the Daytime Server Menu could not be faulted.

Only observation was the gap between finishing the starter and the arrival of the main was about 20 mins which was a ,little excessive. The restaurant was not too busy so they need to get their act together re timings.

All in all for the price you cannot fault.

Ate here on a meal deal from the adjacent Premier Inn. The food is always pretty reliable and the mixed grill was no exception. Where they excelled themselves was the new gin trifle. Beefeater have previously done unusual trifles (Black Forest gateau being an example) so I was ready to try it. Very good taste and the gin didn’t overpower it.

Only drawback was that service was slow even though it wasn’t busy. Nothing was too much trouble eg extra mustard but it wasn’t timely. However that’s a minor niggle which I include in case you go on a busier night. (And apparently it does get busy so if you’re doing the Premier Inn meal deal maybe book ahead).

Stopped by chance for lunch after seeing their ‘lunch for a fiver’ advertisement,I have to say I was expecting a poor offering which is often the case, not so,there was a choice of 5 dishes and a couple more that although we’re not on the deal were a fiver or less, the food was well cooked and presented and delicious, friendly staff and lovely restaurant setting,a welcome respite for a weary traveller, the skinny fries are delicious.

We ordered from the daytime menu and my husband had chicken and ham pie and I upgraded from6oz steak to a 10 oz rump-med. They were both delicious - and the chips were amazing. Thanks - it’s so lovely to be able to walk here with our dog- and sit in the bar / people don’t even realise he’s there until we leave - when they all want to fuss him

Stopped for Dinner on the way home from hospital after a pretty stressful day.

The restaurant was warm and comfortable and the atmosphere friendly. We were shown to our seat by “Katie B” who really made us feel at home. The food we chose was served promptly and efficiently.
We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the friendly welcome.
We both agreed it would be a place to visit again on future trips to Arundel.

10/10. Gold Star.
