We stay at Hilton hotels quite often and are now gold Hilton honors members. So on our recent visit to attend Strictly Come Dancing at the NIA, we received an upgrade to an Executive room, this meant we could use the Executive lounge, which was an excellent experience. Our room was comfortable and overlooked the lake. The service throughout the hotel was excellent, and so was the Leisure Centre.

First stay at this Hilton as we usually use another hotel nearby and I have to say I was impressed. We arrived at 11.00 but our room was available and check in was a breeze. The room was on 4 floor and a good size very clean and modern furnishings, bathroom was a good size with a seperate shower cubical and again clean and well stocked. The only complaint was the tv which was out of the ark and reception was so poor that some channels were unwatchable.I am told these are due for replacement in the very near future.
The Executive lounge was very busy but the staff were unflapable and friendly, the lounge bar was also busy but all staff were smiley friendly and efficient. We slept well and heard no noise even though the hotel was busy,
The experience was very good and we will make theHilton our hotel of chopice for future visits to nec

7 of us ladies were at the Hilton prior to the Strictly Come Dancing show on Sunday 22nd January 2012. Having had a lovely leisurely lunch and coffee, one of the lovely waiters enquired if we were going to Strictly that evening, we replied "no, we're off to the afternoon show", it was now 1pm and the show started at 1.30pm - he then told us that it wasn't at the NEC (as it was last year) it was at the NIA! He kindly advised us on the best way to get there using the train but we decided we would be better to get a mini bus to take us straight there, which he promptly arranged (so sorry we didn't get his name) with the help of Tony on Concierge. Tony was another diamond, anxiously looking out for the minibus and getting us on our way. The bus driver pulled out all the stops and we were extremely fortunate to get there just as the 1st dance had started. It was a real giggle, fortunately we all saw the funny side and no harm was done. If it hadn't have been for the Hilton's staff, chances are we would have missed the majority, if not all of the show, which I have to say was brilliant too! All's well that ends well and thank you Hilton.

Well presented hotel, helpful staff, lots of business and leisure facilities.

Located within NEC Birmingham area, and is well sign posted. Reasonably priced Hilton hotel and the food is good. The car park spaces are pretty tight, but other than that there are no real criticisms.

This hotel is perfect if you're going to the NEC or perhaps need somewhere to stay before going to the airport or train station, but overall the hotel is overrated and overpriced.

From the price of the room, to the cost of food and even the Costa coffee concession the Hilton really is extortionately priced - £140 for 22 Sambuca shots (hasten to add it was for my Client)...it was cheaper to buy the bottle at £100. It has to be said though that they do a better breakfast than most hotels.

The rooms are okay, the beds are hard and the rooms are basic; still prefer to stay in he Deluxe Double than the Single rooms.

The business centre is very small and if the hotel has a large function in then you have no chance of parking or getting a seat in the bar.
