Comfortable Beds, Great Location, and friendly staff. Much to my disappointment, when arriving to the hotel at 14:05pm, myself and my friend were told that our rooms were not ready, as check in was 15:00pm which seems late in the day considering check out is 11:00am. Breakfast serving was standard, and very limited unless you were after a cooked breakfast, small bananas and no yogurt pots "to go". The only good thing was the take out cups for coffee.

Great location and a 5 min walk to the city center. Would stay here again.

Hello lewish725,

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay.

Check in time is 3pm however, we do try our best to accommodate as many early check ins as possible.
Our breakfast is the standard Holiday Inn Express breakfast which offers a number of hot and cold items and takeaway bags and cups if you are in a hurry. I am sorry that you did not enjoy breakfast.

We are happy that you found the bed comfortable and would choose to stay with us again.

We look forward to welcoming you back when you are next in the city.

Kind Regards
Victoria Glover

My room was situated on the 14th floor and was adapted for those with a disability. As a result it was very spacious. Plenty of charging points including by the bed!! Drinks were reasonably priced at the bar and the breakfast was decent. Good location - a short walk from New St station and the citu centre.

The rooms are small, but you expect that in hotel that is right downtown. A key advantage is LOTS of wall plugs for charging multiple devices. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Good decent breakfast (included). We arrived by bus, then took a taxi to the hotel. It must be a nightmare to try to drive to the hitek, as the centre of Birmingham is a a construction site, with many xlised streets and diversions. An enormous amount of the downtown area is pedestrianized, which is great, as it's very lively, full of people walking around the many restaurants at night. Happily, our room in the hotel was very quiet and cozy.

The hotel is very close to the train station which is great. The room is pretty basic, but I guess you get what you pay for. The breakfast had a good enough selection and check in and out was very quick.

My only advice would be to make sure you select your room type in the preferences section of your online booking. I was given a twin room because no doubles were available. I was traveling with my partner so this wasn't ideal.
