Went for mid-afternoon really and was not disappointed with the charming home-made cakes, tea, ginger ale and mocha chocolate

Perhaps Warwick's best kept secret. Tucked away in bijou courtyard, Wylie's is a quaint reminder of what tea rooms used to be before caffeine went corporate.

If you prefer stunning home-cooked food and charming personal service, to the pre-packed conveyor belt cardboard and logo experience of (inflated) Costa, Cafe Zero and Star 'tax free' buck$, treat yourself at Wylie's.

Go. Just go.

Small, quaint and young friendly staff. Visited with my family including 2 young fussy grandsons. Cake portions were large and 3 cups of tea in pot! Chocolate milkshake for the boys were enjoyed as were the sandwiches. The sweet shop is worth a visit on the way out. Not many places like this about anymore.

The delightful period background music sets the scene for a delightful and charming experience. Coffee far better than the "chains".The town should encourage old charm cafes and stop the "chains" and their ugly frontage spoiling the town. Scones, Rock Cakes and Toasted Tea Buns are a must have.
