“Superb Cottage and gardens, excellent location for Stratford shopping, Shakespeare history, nature and tranquility.”

Our forth fabulous stay at Welford Cottage in August. Took my 74year old Mum and my girls 8years and 10years. The cottage is always immaculate and homely with special additional touches for your arrival (such as chocolates, cakes, sweets, flowers, etc). It's open plan layout downstairs is wonderful for families and socialising. Very well equipped cottage; everything you could think of in the kitchen & bathroom, DVDs, books, games (indoor & outdoor), music, WIFI, garden furniture, HUGE garden, comfy beds and the interior is finished to an exquisite standard. Lovely. It is ideal if you like varied days out, shopping in Stratford, day trip to Warwick Castle, Shakespeare history, country houses and villages, or if you prefer peace and tranquillity, Welford Cottage is surrounded by countryside that you can see for miles and in the cottage itself it is very peaceful and harmonious for relaxing in.

There is a bus route for those nights out and a post box both a short walk to the end of the private road. We always end our stay with "next time we come......" The reasons to stay at this cottage are endless and are all good. Credit to Sarah the owner for providing an outstanding service every time. Would highly recommend a stay at Welford Cottage to anyone of any age, enjoy!

We stayed in this lovely cottage for two weeks in July.
It is very well kept every thing very clean,it's has every thing you need.
Very good quality, lovely fresh roses upon our arrival, tea coffee fresh milk & orange juice. We were very lucky with the weather when we stayed, every morning there were little rabbits on the lawn.there was a partridge that would appear from time to time. The gardens are very well maintained. We had some lovely drinks on our patio in the evenings.
The Cottage is very well situated, and a good Waitrose short drive away.
Sarah was very prompt with her responses,I did book through a website for the property & there was a mix up with my details. But Sarah was able to rectify it.
I would recommend booking direct with Sarah info@welfordcottage.co.uk
and save yourself a booking fee, ours was £44.
Would defiantly stay again when next in UK.

“Setting and location brilliant”
Reviewed 18 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Cottage was perfect but was let down by the cleanliness. The cottage beams were covered in cobwebs especially in the bathroom. We contacted Sarah the manager and was offered a full refund if we went home. We had travelled 4 hours so didn't want to do that or face the upheaval of moving somewhere else so we opted to stay. We had a lovely holiday but were extremely disappointed in the cottage. We did get an apology after we got home but I really don't think that was enough.

“An ideal location for Stratford and Shakespeare Country”

A lovely property, away from the bustle of Stratford, but near enough for the sights. An excellent base for touring the area, with many walks and cycle rides possible, and visits to National Trust and other properties on the doorstep.

The property itself is very well equipped and comfortable. Highly recommended.

“Quaint, well-equipped English cottage”

We enjoyed our holiday with our 2 teenage girls. The cottage was really beautiful and well equipped. There was even orange juice and milk in the fridge for us and lovely fresh flowers. There was everything we needed eg washer/drier, iron and board, clothes horse and pegs and of course the girls appreciated the Wi-Fi! The location was great, just about 3 miles outside Stratford-upon-Avon. The weather was exceptional and we enjoyed spending time along the River Avon. Stratford-upon-Avon is a beautiful chocolate-box type village with a great range of shops from all the big names to lovely little independent shops. We have to say that Hoorays was our favourite place to visit, the gelatos were amazing! The cottage was just the icing on the cake as it was very comfortable and homely, thanks Sarah!

Liked best: The beautiful surroundings
Liked least: Just one little thing, I think it would be better if the directions stated that Welford Cottage is on your right just after you pass the sign for Willicote (we found it difficult to see the horse stables from the road)
