Just returned for another wonderful stay at Midsummer Nights Dream Lodge. Five day stay in October - the weather was very mixed some rain and strong winds but also some sunny days. The weather does not really matter in fact is some ways it adds to the beauty of the surroundings as you see the river in all its moods. There is always something good to see from the lodge windows or balcony and there are so many places of interest to visit close at hand and of course the fantastic Royal Shakespeare Theatre just a short river taxi ride away. Even when it was stormy weather outside inside the lodge it was warm, cosy, clean and very welcoming. It is fast becoming our home away from home.
Beautiful and peaceful setting, easy to get to Stratford by boat, car or on foot, very comfortable accommodation.
Beautiful lodge in a perfect setting with friendly owners. What more could you want? but there is so much more, great village pub and Indian restaurant in Tiddington village (a few minutes walk away). Redwings horse sanctuary about 10 miles away, that's without everything you would expect in Stratford and the surrounding Cotswold villages. Oh yes we would definitely go back again.

Stayed here with my partner and 3 month old. The lodge itself had everything you could want in terms facilities and location. It was a 10 minute walk into town for days out and we happily spent the evenings enjoying the view from the lodge. Would definitely recommend for other young families. Christine the owner was great at answering any questions we had.
My husband and I have visited Stratford-upon-Avon many times over the years and always stayed in one of the town centre hotels. This year, as we were staying for a week, we decided to try something a bit different, and we're so pleased we found the Midsummer Night's Dream Lodge!
The setting riverside setting was superb: quiet, beautiful and romantic. The lodge was spacious, comfortable and well equipped ... in fact, a real home from home. Christine - the owner - called us on the day we travelled to Strafford to tell us all we needed to know, and Chris and James were just a phone call away if we needed anything.
From the lodge to the town centre was a 20-25 minute walk and we enjoyed spending our 'virtual' fortune as we walked along the Tiddington Road to Stratford admiring the beautiful houses. The river taxi stops just outside the lodge, although we only used it once as we enjoyed the walk. That said, the boat ride was a treat! One day we crossed the bridge in the caravan park and did the riverside walk - which was superb.
Next time we want a few days in Stratford-upon-Avon, we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else!
