Went to Newcastle for a graduation, this was the only hotel that would let me check into my room early, and not charge me. The staff are so helpful. Room was fine and the breakfast, pay in advance as its cheaper, was really nice.

A very nice hotel right in the centre of Newcastle. Friendly staff, a clean modern room and an excellent breakfast - all at a very reasonable price. The company should build a few more hotels like this in large cities.

We booked this hotel because is a short walk from the central train station / metro in Newcastle. The price was very reasonable, and photos looked ok.
We arrived very early and the room was not ready but the reception was very happy to take our luggage, gives us a map and recommended some places to visit in this city. We did and came back to a very speedy booking and a very nice room, clean, modern and tidy.
Is not luxurious, yet the design is amazing, every single space was wisely used and very tastefully done too. Albeit being a very small room, it felt comfy. I am a light sleeper and there was no noises coming from the main street, where the room faced. bed was comfy and towels fluffy.
It had tea making facilities, glasses, and hairdryer. It didnt had complimentary toileteries, but I was not expecting them because of the price.
If you book in advance, the price of the breakfast is £7 instead of £8. We did so and were not dissapointed, a very good buffet received us next morning: cereals, compote and yogurth, milk, scrambled eggs, sausages... not the full wax but very tasty.
Check out is at 11 but we needed to go earlier, yet we didnt feel rushed. Checkout was quick too.
Very good place, recommendable and value for money.

plus points: friendly; clean; inexpensive; central; good breakfast. Sleeperz opened this year, quite funky hotel. the rooms are very compact, which is fine. my main issue was i was sleeping on trainline side. it was noisy but im a light sleeper. i could even hear the muffled voice of train announcements. single power point on bed wall, not great as i was also working so had laptop plugged in from otherside of room. shower room is a wet room. After shower the floor was soaked so unless you have towel on floor using toilet or wash basin will also get your feet wet. Also when the room abve used facilities it felt like they were in my room.

Room Tip: the even numbers are on trainline side, odd on roadside.

The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the station, we parked our car in the station car park and despite the price advertised at £15.00 it was only £8.00 for a Saturday night.

The hotel staff are very enthusiastic, we checked in very quickly and paid the extra for breakfast.

The rooms are clean and modern, the room we had was only suitable for two, the bed was a double, which when use to a king can be quite cramped, the furniture is slightly Ikeaish and possibly even cheap looking, despite the hotel trying to give the rooms a modern touch with the garish colours.

The bathroom was excellent with a walk in shower, the only critism would be the toilet, I am not the tallest of people and found my legs dangling as I sat down. The room had a big floor to ceiling window overlooking the street, as the windows don't open the rooms can feel a little stuffy, however the air-con is excellent and freshens the room up quickly.

The only complaint I had was that here was a water trickle sound coming from above the bathroom cistern, not sure what it was, as the hotel was full and it was 4am I did not bother complaining as I probably would not have been able to get a move.

The location is brill if you want to have a night out in the town, we were at a show at the metro and it was about a 10 minute walk to the arena.

The bar prices are comparable with what you pay in the city centre, not cheap but most big cities aren't now, keep away from the quayside and get a drink in wetherspoons for about 60% of the prices.

The breakfast was ok, it was a small buffet style which got quite cramped once a few people came down for breakfast.

I would probably rate it between 3 and 4 star rather than a full 4, I would stay again, it was only £85.00 which is priced about right.
