I stayed two nights in a single room in this hotel. The moment i walked in I felt welcome, and the staff was very helpful. The room itself was small, but had everything i needed. The bathroom was updated and very nice. Only thing that would help in the room would have been a small fridge. The breakfast was very good. You could order full english breakfast and toast, aswell as cornflakes and the normal things stood infront of you. This was included in the stay.
The hotel was close to a few restaurants and close to the metro. This was an ideal hotel for my stay.

Stayed here overnight, as meeting friends in Newcastle.this is a lovely place to stay. Clean, quiet, great breakfasts and a lovely lady who ran the place, she greeted us as we arrived with a smile and chatted to us and told us about where things where and if we needed anything just to ask. A very welcoming place to stay. Will be going back to stay in the future.

Stayed here for one night on my own. Very friendly staff, warm welcome. Room was small and basic but perfect for what I needed. Great shower, nice bed. Well ventilated with two opening windows.

There's a Turkish restaurant next door that you can get discount at but I wanted an Indian so walked up to the Dabbawal. About 10 mins away and superb food! Look it up!

Breakfast was very good. In fact it's probably one of the nicest hotel breakfasts I've been served in a long time. See the photo!

Highly recommend the Dene Hotel and I'll be back very soon! For £40 through Booking.com you can't go wrong, although they did say they can offer better deals if you call direct.

My wife and myself have just returned from a lovely 10 day visit to Newcastle. We were made to feel really welcome at this guest house/hotel. On arrival we were met by Keeran and Karen and not having booked in advance they really did go the extra mile to accommodate us in a nice double room which had a lovely newly fitted out en suit bathroom, in fact every thing about the room was good and it was exceptionally clean. Tea and coffee and fresh milk are supplied in the room as much as you want. The breakfast was cooked to order and served piping hot and again every thing you could want was available, all you had to do was ask Sam the waitress. Michael the night porter was very friendly and helpful. Parking can be a bit of an issue because the car park is only small but the receptionist can provide you with an on street parking permit. There is a local bus service every half hour from the top of the road into the city, but it is only about a thirty minuets. Yes we were very pleased with our stay and would definitely stay again in the future.
