Situated on the Quayside with rooms overlooking the River Tyne, this travelodge offers all that is expected from the newly built models, a/c, pod style shower rooms and bar/restaurant also with floor to ceiling windows. Situated 20 minutes walk to the city centre and up a steep a more sedate walk can be taken along the Quayside with a bus nearby to take the strain into the city or over the Tyne to Gateshead. Will be back later in the year.
Tip - like all the other newbuilds there are no locks on the shower room door so anyone sharing the room has to be aware that the toilet is occupied otherwise if the door is opened it will take your toes off

The riverside location is fantastic, it’s a ten minute walk or two minute taxi ride to the city centre or just have a walk along to the quayside bars and restaurants. It’s also very handy for Newcastle Arena. Brand new hotel so was very clean and modern.

A well-maintained, modern and comfortable hotel. Attentive staff and rooms with superb views over the Tyne. We found the staff very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The hotel offers good value accommodation in a clean, modern setting.

Room Tip: When booking ask for a room with a river view.

This hotel is one of travelodges new hotels . They have improved their hotel a lot ,with very comfy beds . The hotel was close to train station and all shops with busses and taxi services near by to take you to all locations . The hotel is near the river with nice walks along side with several eating places to pop in on your walks . The staff were very helpful on our arrival and during our stay . We would recommend this hotel to all our family and friends .

Room Tip: Ask for a room looking over the river .
