Owner description: LOSELEY PARK IS OPEN FROM MONDAY 1ST MAY 2017. SUNDAY - THURSDAY 11AM - 5PM Built in the reign of Elizabeth I, Loseley Park stands in ancient Surrey Parkland close to the North Downs yet within reach of London. Still the home of the More-Molyneux family, it is remarkably unchanged since 1562 when Sir William More laid the first stones, and remains, as he intended, a place of calm, grace and subtle beauty. From the house itself, where the intricate panelling in the Great Hall was once in Henry VIII’s Nonsuch Palace; to the Tithe Barn with its ancient oak beams; to the elegant and restful walled garden, Loseley Park is sought after for civil weddings, corporate events, and as a location for films such as Sense and Sensibility. But it’s also a place to visit, to enjoy the grounds, the garden and house, and relax in one of England’s friendliest historic homes.

Went with a friend to see the gardens. Beautiful setting. Lovely roses. Nice little cafe with great staff. They make their own ice cream too. Didn't view the house but you can!

We had our wedding here and were wowed from start to finish! From our first visit a few months earlier we were made very welcome.

This is a beautiful historic country estate near Guildford and for us the perfect location and venue for our special day.

The house dates back several hundred years to the reign of Elizabeth 1st and has beautiful mature gardens and extensive grounds all of which are impeccably maintained.

Our caterers, Caper & Berry, exceeded our expectations and were amazing from start to finish taking care of every little detail - nothing was too much trouble and excellent attention to detail. Mark and Anna could not have done more - the service was absolutely outstanding!!!

We had challenges on the day with unpredictable weather but they handled it all so smoothly and we were lucky that we were able to have our canapés in the formal white garden as planned.

Our reception was in the Tithe barn where again the service from Caper & Berry was impeccable. We have received so many great comments from our guests who were all equally impressed with the quality of the dishes and service!!!

Huge thanks to Loseley and to Mark, Anna and the Caper & Berry team who helped make our day an unforgettable one. You were brilliant!!!

Thank you so much for your lovely review and we are all delighted you had such a fantastic day. It is always a great help to have feedback after an event or wedding, especially when it highlights how we all work together to ensure the day runs smoothly. These sort of comments can be particularly helpful to others searching for a venue.

We look forward to seeing you again at Loseley before too long.

Best wishes
The Loseley Team

Tucked away from the rush of the A3 and Guildford this is a delightful, quiet, country home, built for a Tudor gentleman and his family. Timed, guided tours are excellent, as the guides describe practically everything you see, and tie them into the house's history. There are then, subject to weather and season, extensive and well kept gardens to wander thorough as though you owned them. Being privately owned and off the beaten track there are not crowds of people, so you can spend a leisurely time there. Whilst I can't comment about the food in the courtyard café, we only had a cream tea, the waitresses were friendly and helpful.

Tours of Loseley House are by guide only, which we do not always like - sometimes it is best to explore somewhere in one's own time and without firection - but this was a very informative one, even if the guide was challenged by thefour people on the tour already being fairly knowledgeable about the history of the family and the artefacts in the house! The gardens are well presented and vistors could spend a long time wandering around them.

The cafe was very small and had a limited, pricey menu. This is an area that needs to be worked on, but overall this house is well worth a visit.

A beautifully preserved grand house that Henry V11 Elizabeth 1 and Henry V111 son stayed in. We had a really good tour that was very informative.
Shame the staff at the cafe weren't as good as they were shouting at each other whilst we were there which wasn't very professional.
My quiche wasn't very warm and the salad looked limp and the outside area looked messy and the plants unkempt.
However when we went to look round the gardens they were beautiful!

Thank you for your comments regarding your visit to the Wisteria Tea Room here at Loseley Park.
We are very sorry to have read of your experience following your recent visit.
We take negative feedback very seriously, as we cater for many events and weddings across the year and only usually receive wonderful feedback, so I am deeply apologetic that you were disappointed by the standard of catering on your recent outing. They are certainly comments that we don’t like to receive, however they are vital comments that can only help us to improve and learn from.
We will be reviewing the tea room offering for next year and hope that you will return to see the improvements which are planned for this area.
Please do not hesitate to contact me; should you wish to discuss this with me further.

Kind regards,
Mark Frogley
