“Wonderful quiet retreat”
Reviewed 6 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Arrived to find a lovely welcoming note from Debbie with some lovely local goodies for us. once we were in Ian came round to welcome us and tell us about the Hot Tub. We decided to try the local fish and chip shop that night and what huge portions we were given. Saturday we decided to venture into Bury St Edmunds for some shopping and it was lovely to get back and open all the doors and have the fresh air coming through. We decided to try the hot tub that night and what a lovely relaxing way to end a hot stuffy day. Sunday it rained on us so we went to the local Norton Dog pub for our evening meal and what a friendly and welcoming atmosphere from the staff, the food was delicious and would highly recommend, luckily the rain stayed away so we managed to get another night in the tub. Monday morning was a sad day as it was time to leave, we will be back again soon and maybe for a few more nights next time. The service was second to none, the lodge had everything that we needed and the location is just right to be peaceful but close to local shops.

“Lovely lodge in peaceful surroundings”

A very relaxing long weekend in this lovely lodge. Would recommend it if you like peace and quiet and privacy as the garden is fully hedged all around. We were lucky enough to have some sun whilst we were there and were able to take advantage of the garden furniture provided. The hot tub is obviously an added attraction for any weather. The owners have provided nice little extras such as bath robes and other little local goodies to try including, in our case, the owner's homemade scones. Cedar Lodge is a convenient location for getting out and about. We visited Ickfield House and also spent some time in Bury St Edmunds neither of which are very far away. Will definitely be going back.

Liked best: The private garden and also the little added extras
Liked least: If I had to pick something perhaps the hot tub could have been a little hotter but perhaps that was us not reading the instructions!

“Bliss!”
Reviewed 19 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

My new husband and I stayed here for a few days after our wedding. It was just what we needed! So relaxing, everything you need, even a few games to play! There was a lot of information provided which was very helpful and the champagne and hot cross buns on arrival was great!

Wow factor from the moment you open the gate. Stayed three nights and the only bad thing was the good old British weather. Lodge has everything you need. Welcome pack on arrival adds a personal touch. Kitchen has everything you need. Comfortable bed with TV/dvd in bedroom. Two seater sofa and big TV in living area. Lots of books about the surrounding area so you can plan days out. Fantastic hot tub. Garden has high conifer hedge on two sides and fence on the other so very private and secluded. Pictures do not do the place credit. Will definitely be booking again.
