Description: Sally Lunn's - The oldest house in Bath

We came here for lunch on a weekend trip to Bath based on reviews and insistence from friends who had eaten at Sally Lynn's previously. We ordered the vegetable trencher lunch deal and the lemon curd Sally Lunn bun; I was extremely happy with how the bun tasted, it was airy and fluffy and toasted to perfection with just the right amount of butter that took the taste to another level. Loved the savoury bun but the sweet lemon curd bun was my one of my favourite foods I enjoyed in Bath hands down. Highly recommended!

Food was quite plain and nothing too special especially for the price we paid.

The service was great hence the three stars, other than that, quite a basic restaurant.

Probably worth having a visit to the museum if you’re a tourist.

This place has been going for centuries with its amazing Bath buns. We had savoury ones - with double bacon and a glass of wine! Bliss!
Such a quaint setting and helpful staff who must see thousands of people every day!

We were actually were looking for another restaurant when we came across Sally Lunn
They advertised 2 courses with a glass of wine between 5 and 7 pm for14.50 lbs.
This suited us and when found out it was baths oldest house we had to go in.
The experience was great. Great service great food and nice environment. we parsnip and apple would not have been my first choice but it was delicious brad had the chicken trench and I had the pulled pork. They were both very good unfortunately we had no room for dessert

The Sally Lunn Bun is a gastronomic mystery. With a crisp outside, and melt-in-your-mouth inside, the baking technique of Sally Lunn's famous bun was up for great debate at our table.

You are actually served one half a bun (which is plenty) as it is quite large.

Outside of the bun, this place is very average. Not great service, not great atmosphere (it's an extremely old building). Not sure how there's a Michelin Star here, except the bun is a wonder; they should make it on the Great British Baking Show...nobody would be successful!

Regardless, it's a must visit when in Bath...but only once.
