Description: Sally Lunn's - The oldest house in Bath

We visited at 2:30pm on Saturday (New Years Eve). There are a few floors of seating so we were seated straight away on the top floor. The building is very quirky in its wonky small way. The staff were exceedingly polite and friendly :) Time wise we were there for a total of 50 minutes, and this was relaxed, just excellent service.
We both ordered the Quick Lunch of soup & a savoury Bath Bun. Our drinks were with us quickly and the food just as quick after. The smooth vegetable soup was delicious - and just the right amount as we also had the bottom half of a large bun to eat! I had the Welsh Rarebit Special - a toasted bun with gorgeous melted cheese on top as well as mushrooms and bacon. My other half had one with cream cheese and salmon - also nice.
You can even visit the museum & shop and take a Bath Bun home with you! I wish I had done this. I highly recommend eating here. Thank you.

Had lunch here with son and wife. Chicken and ham trencher lacked flavour and was expensive, given the portion size, with over cooked vegetables. Service was also a bit slow

- nice little tearoom with interesting history
- cosy and warm inside
- tiny museum downstairs to enable you to learn more
- Sally Lunn buns were 'ok' but nothing special for the price (cream tea bun with clotted cream and jam)

We went in and had a evening meal deal which was soup and meal of a set menu with a glass of wine. The soup was delicious but the meal was a little on the bland side with just meat and boiled vegetables. The main menu had more choice but we didn't go for this. The famous Sally Lunn bun is worth a try if.you haven't had it before - very nice with the soup

Excellent buns - hidden gem in Bath! We were pleasantly surprised the quality of food the first time we visited the place. Since then, been there several times.
