Half the price of staying in Bath and only half an hour by a very good bus service or cycle route along an old rail track next to the hotel. The room was very adequate and bathroom excellent, clean and spacious. Unfortunately, the rooms face the very busy main road and are very hot in this current warm summer, however, someone had thoughtfully provided fans so thank you !.... I did sleep well. This is an old place, probably was a coaching inn , and a bit frayed in the public areas and stairs etc but don't let that put you off as my room was good.
The reception was warm and friendly, although there wasn't anyone about at 9 a.m. when I left, so be sure to book breakfast if you want it. Alternatively, you can get scrambled eggs at the co-op cafeteria over the road.More
