I did a lot of research to pick Scarper Tours for a half-day tour to Stonehenge. I found them to offer the most reasonable package for travel and entry to the site.

Our guide Mark was cheerful and informative. The drive was scenic and enhanced by the narrative. Two hours allowed at the park, leaves plenty of time to view this ancient monument without feeling rushed. The half-day design of this tour was perfect, leaving us the afternoon to enjoy Bath.

As we planned to visit Stonehenge from our base in Bath during our trip to England, a key question was whether to take a train and then taxi, or pick a tour bus operator.
We choose Scarper Tours, and we could not have been happier.
The hour-long trip was comfortable, relaxed, and without a hitch. The bus was a nice size with 19 comfortable seats.
Our driver/tour guide John picked us up and dropped us off at the Abbey Hotel. He personable and professional and took care of all the little details. He also made the ride out and back more interesting by pointing out various points of historical interest.
At 25 British pounds per person (for transport only) it was a great deal, both cheaper and faster than the train/taxi route. Highly recommended.

Amazing tour to Stonehenge - so glad we booked via Scarper Tours - our driver John was brilliant - really knowledgable about the highlights on the way down to Stonehenge as well as Stonehenge itself. Definitely not to be missed - fantastic experience would definitely recommend .

Totally enjoyed our visit to Stonehenge. Driver, John, is personable and knowledgeable. Coach is comfortable. Wish we could have stayed at least another hour. I can tick this off my list now.

Nice drive with tour guide Chris who took us to Stonehenge. It’s an hour drive each way with lovely countryside to see and a bit of commentary on the way. I could have spent 3 hours there instead of 2, because a big tour bus arrived and we didn’t manage to get on one of the shuttle buses for half an hour with a bathroom break and then the long line for the shuttle. Better to go to the visitor centre first and the join the line there which is shorter.

Hi Lori

Thanks for taking the time to write a review and I'm sorry to hear that you would have enjoyed a longer visit at Stonehenge. 2 hours is normally the perfect amount of time at Stonehenge (most tourist buses only stay for 90 minutes), but it seems that you were a little unfortunate on the day - on most occasions our passengers do not need to wait for a shuttle bus to the stones for more than a few minutes at the most. Please understand, that the organisation and procedure that we follow at Stonehenge is not something that we have control or any influence over, but we do appreciate your comments nonetheless. Happy travels!
